Organ chip technology involves the creation of microphysiological systems (MPSs) that mimic the key elements of an organ's microenvironment, such as living cells, tissue interfaces, biological fluids, and mechanical forces, all on a chip. In vitro organ models based on the organ chips have the ability to mimic both physiological and pathological activities of human organs. This technology allows researchers to study various biological behaviors of the body in a controlled and visible manner, and predict the response of the human body to different drug stimuli. The highly advanced human organoid model, built on an organoid chip, is capable of replicating the intricate structure and physiological functions of human organs in a laboratory setting. This breakthrough technology provides more precise experimental data than traditional two-dimensional cell models and animal testing methods.
